FAQs

WHAT IS LEHIGH VALLEY GIRLS ROCK?
LVGR is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering girls and women + trans and nonbinary folks through music and art. We are a proud member of the Girls Rock Camp Alliance!

WHAT DOES LEHIGH VALLEY GIRLS ROCK DO?
We host inspiring events and educational workshops along with our major programs, Girls Rock Camp and Let’s Rock Camp. We also give music lessons!

WHAT IS GIRLS ROCK CAMP?
GRC is a week-long empowerment camp based on being in a rock band open to girls + trans and nonbinary youth ages 10-17. Campers will learn how to play an instrument, form a band, write an original song together, and then perform their song at a *real* concert for their family, friends, and future fans. It's so much FUN! Campers will spend the week making new friends, attending educational workshops, and collaborating with local women + trans and nonbinary folks to create music and art. We welcome campers of all skill levels, from “I’ve never even seen a bass!” to “check out this sweet drum solo!”

WHAT IS LET’S ROCK CAMP?
LRC is basically a condensed version of GRC for women + trans and nonbinary adults 18+ that takes place over a weekend. It’s amazing.

WHO CAN ATTEND GRC AND LRC?
Our camps are open to girls and women + trans and nonbinary folks.

WHO CAN VOLUNTEER AT GRC AND LRC?
We reserve all roles at camp for women + trans and nonbinary folks.
